With Ryan Gallik, Claim Cost went from $700,000.00 to $40,000.00.
Ryan Gallik started working in Emergency Services nearly two decades ago. Early in his career, he worked as an Emergency Medical Technician and 911 Dispatcher in Orlando, Florida. A few years later, Ryan decided to become a Firefighter and in 2004, he was hired on with Tavares Fire Department where he earned the rank of Engineer. In 2006, he began Paramedic School and shortly after graduation in 2007, Ryan was hired on with St. Cloud Fire Rescue near Orlando, Florida.
After several years being on the job, Ryan was selected to chair the Safety and Health Program for St. Cloud Fire Rescue where he and fellow committee members drastically reduced workers’ comp claims and cost, and saving the City hundreds of thousands of dollars.
After he attended the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitinsburg, Maryland, he discovered his passion in saving the lives of those who selflessly serve others. Ryan’s career path has led him to help not only those who call 911, but those that are part of the entire 911 experience including those who serve the first responders.
In 2013, Ryan established and maintained a safety and health program in Central Florida, which in 2016 became the part of the Florida Firefighter Safety & Health Collaborative which is spanning across many States, and has partnerships with the University of Miami, the Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance, National Volunteer Fire Council, & the State Fire College. The Collaborative that Ryan co-founded was awarded the Sen. Paul S. Sarbanes Fire Service Safety Leadership Award; which is given by the Congressional Fire Services Institute.
Award-winning international speaker and writer, Ryan’s expertise on safety and overall wellness in emergency services is in demand by public and private organizations.
Ryan has been recognized as State of Florida Fire Instructor of the Year (2016) and State of Florida Firefighter of the Year (2016), and has had the honor of serving as a family escort during National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend (2014, 2015).
